Sanctification occurs in followers notification of Jesus

Sanctification and salvation or justification, is not the same.

Girls at the creek.

Salvation or justification, takes place the second we turn on to Jesus, and he moves into our hearts. Sanctification however, is a lifelong process, where we walk with Jesus maturing as people and Christians, Jesus can be more and more visible in and through our lives, while the world and the meat is becoming less guiding force in our lives.

The word sanctification both from the Old Testament Hebrew "Kadas" and in the NT the Greek word "hagiasmós", so the word sanctification a separation from the world and its "spirit". This means a separation from that which is unholy and profane, and that rather than being set apart for the Lord's behalf and that which belongs to Him.

Sanctification and salvation or justification, is not the same.

John makes a description of what the term world is for the 1 John 2: 15-16

" Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world is not the Father's love in him. For all that is in the world, the flesh and the desires of the eyes and the pride of the good life, it is not from the Father but from the world. "

In Galatians 5: 16-21 Paul speaks about the works of the flesh, which I will also come under the term world and its "spirit," Paul mentions this: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, quarrels, schisms, heresies, malice, drunkenness, debauchery. Hand in hand with the Bible's teaching on sanctification, as the Bible speaks about those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord, that person is sacred: Romans 1: 7 "... ye beloved of God, his called to be saints," 1 Corinthians 1: 2 "to the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, they called to be saints ... Ephesians 1: 4" as he before the foundation of the world has chosen us in him that we would be holy and blameless before him ".

The Bible speaks in several places about the ongoing sanctification process.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 says , "May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely ..." 2 Thessalonians 2:13 says "... through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth", Hebrews 2:11 speaks of Jesus who sanctifies and those who hallowed. The word sanctify us: John 17:17 "Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth."

The believer makes himself available for work of sanctification in their lives: 1 Thessalonians 4: 7.8.

We will never defend the sins in our lives! but when the Holy Spirit pointing to pity we did, we confess before God, then God will forgive us and cleanse us from all righteousness. 1 John 1: 9

We are called to a life of holiness

" God has not called us to uncleanness, but to a life of holiness. Therefore, it is now rejects this does not reject man but God, who has given you his Holy Spirit. " 1 Th 4: 7, 8

In Rome 6:19 urges us to ask our members in the service of righteousness, sanctification, and 2 Corinthians 7: 1 exhorts us to godliness perfecting holiness.

I think the true fear of God is a powerful force in the lives of believers to seek holiness in their lives. What I want to strongly emphasize!

In the light of God's holiness is born a true fear of God was.

He is worthy of respect, subordination, obedience, our hearts humble gratitude and adoration.

It is extremely important not to go against and ignore when the Holy Spirit shows us something in the Word, when God shines on something where he wants to see a change in our lives. When God says; This is not pleasing to me, that I want you to stop by, if at such times, just ignore it, or think, it is not so dangerous, so distressing to God's Holy Spirit. "Not grieve God's Holy Spirit, whom you have received as a seal for the day of redemption." Ephesians 4:30.

If it is a long time when you ignore the Lord points out, the less they perceive as the Spirit's low-key voice in one's inner, one becomes "blunted". He speaks often quietly inside us.

I'll give an example from my own life. Earlier I looked too often on TV. I was then very clear experience when I saw in some TV programs, either where it was much profanity or containing any unclean thing, how the Holy Spirit within me responded and became distressed. It could be for example something exciting cop show program or drama that I found interesting, and as I looked on. When it passed a long time, and I had ignored the Holy Spirit's warning, and continued to see on such a program, so I conceived no longer as clearly the Holy Spirit's low-key challenge. I saw no longer how he became distressed.

What had happened? Well, what happened was that my heart was being blunted in relation to the holiness of God! Spirit's voice on that specific thing had almost stopped. appallingly

Now it will be very little television viewing. Think we all have areas that the Spirit of God indicates that does not please him, and where we need to repent.

Help in the sanctification process is available. We know enough to all how many times we have attempted, in their own efforts to become more "pious" sanctified Christians, but what we fail to do this. We forget, or do not know how God helps us in the sanctification process.

In Ezekiel 11:19, 20, we read

" I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will take away the stony heart out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they shall walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them. They will be my people, and I will be their God "

and in Hebrews 8:10, we read the same promise. Galatians 5:16 "What I will say is this: Walk in the Spirit, you will not be lust of the flesh," and verse 25, "If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

It nevertheless for me personally clearly spoken to me in this desire to be more like Jesus and mature, it is the words of Jesus in John 15. Here Jesus speaks of himself as the true vine / the true vine. He says that it is only through that we abide in Him who is the vine, the fruit will grow. He says that by förblivandet in the vine will branch (vi) to bear rich fruit. Jesus also says in verse 5 "... without me ye can do nothing."

The branch can not own power or effort squeeze any fruit.

Fruit grows.

The Spirit's work of grace in us, that takes place in the Community of Jesus himself.

I think that the life-giving sap of the vine, which produce fruit, grapes, I think it can be said to a picture of the Holy Spirit, his vibrant life.

Fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22. Note that the fruit of the Spirit , which is emerging. No honor goes to the branch that bears fruit. But the branch abiding in the vine do so that it can grow fruit.

We also see in the Bible that the saved man can not live the way one wants, and ignore what the Spirit of God through the Word speaks to us. We are called by Jesus to discipleship "And he called the people and his disciples and said to them: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." Mark 8:34.

To end with a word from Philippians 4: 8, which has become so alive for me

" Moreover brothers (and sisters), all that is true and dignified, just, pure, whatever is lovely, and of estimating, yes, all that is called virtue and worthy of praise, think on these things."

My addition: live for these things, speak these things.
