This article is written for those who have received Jesus and were saved.

Introduction

To begin with, I want to congratulate you that you have received Jesus and got saved! This is the best thing that can happen to any man. Now begins a new fabulous life for you with Jesus Christ.

Even the longest journey begins with a step, someone said. This is particularly important when it comes to faith walk. For now you are saved and going to heaven, this does not mean that you are now fully developed in the realm of faith. But now it all starts. Now you can develop and learn to know Jesus even more.

Think of the newborn: Is not he well fully developed? He can not begin to run, jump, dance and run the race car right away? No, but if he is allowed to grow, start practicing so maybe he can run the race car when it's time for him.

This booklet should be about your first steps on the path of faith. You are not fully developed because you are now born in Christ. It can happen to you, like the child falls down and hits you. You fail. But do not give up. Get up and go on with Jesus on the path of faith!

The first step

Salvation!

The first step you have already taken. That was when you asked Jesus to come into your heart.

In Romans chapter 10 and verse 9 says this:

"That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

The word saved simply means "saved"! It does not mean that they are enthusiastic, keen and enthusiastic in anything. When I received Jesus, I was simply saved - saved!

Saved - from what? You survived, among other things, from sin and from being lost to an eternal hell!

To be saved, one must confess aloud with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. If you fulfill these two requirements, you will know with 100% certainty that you are now saved. How can you know that? Well, because the Bible says so! It is important to trust the Bible when it comes to things like this. You can never go by what the feelings are saying. Feelings can one day say, "Oh, how wonderful that I am saved," and the second day, maybe you do not really feel that you are saved. The

is not about "feel" but what the Bible actually says! Will you stick with this simple rule then it will go well for you on the path of faith.

On faith hiking, you may encounter various setbacks. Then it is important to stick to Jesus. If you do that, it will go the way and faith becomes stronger.

There are two kinds of people when trials and tribulations. One of them fleeing from Jesus. The second flee to Jesus. Was not the fleeing away from Jesus and the falling away of faith. Where instead of fleeing to Jesus and become strong in the faith.

When the baby will learn to walk, he will fail. He will fall and settle. But he will still be stubborn, get up and try again. This rule is important to you. It may be that you fall on the path of faith. Do not lie there and was dejected. Get up, ask God for forgiveness and move on with Jesus.

As a new believer and you have certainly a few things with his luggage that is not good. In this regard, it will be all right. You must follow Jesus and walk with Him. Things are not good in your luggage he will help you to get rid of when it's time. Everything did not disappear at once when you accepted Jesus and was saved, but it will disappear with time. It is this that for another word called sanctification.

I also want to mention in this context that it is very common for new believers sooner or later will get a hefty doubt attack. Yes, it is not only common, but it is always so! It may be early, it may come later, but it will!

In this doubt attack will be the end if we are to continue to follow Jesus or go back to her old life. If you choose Jesus as the faith to be strong and steadfast!

The second step

Start eat!

The child will die if he does not get food. In the same way it is with you. You need spiritual food. Do not you get it, you'll be spiritually malnourished and eventually die spiritually in your faith.

How do you get the food? You can get the food in different ways. Among other things, you can eat yourself. You do this by reading the Bible. If you are new to read the Bible, I recommend to start in the New Testament (which is the other part of the Bible), and read in the Gospel of Mark. This is to get started. Then, of course, continue to read the entire Bible.

There are those who try to read the Bible from cover to cover. As a new believer, this is hard to do. Please read continues a chapter of the Old Testament (which is the first part of the Bible), and in the New Testament every day. Then you will see that your faith will grow.

You can also get food by being served! What you get by going to a Christian church that preaches all the Word of God and the biblical Jesus! I recommend you to contact a church in the locality where you live. Do not you go to a church so I can be happy to help you with that contact. Or, if you turn to a saved Christian who you trust. So, he can certainly help you.

How do you know if the Assembly has the right to learn? - confess the Lord Jesus, you need not be worried.

The third stage

Start Praying!

And I mean that you're free with your mouth Jesus. Jesus has saved you and he

want to have fellowship with you. He wants to talk to you and you get to talk to him. This is important.

If you love someone, you do of course not make the effort to talk to that person. In the same way it is with Jesus. You do not need to strain or tension any religious muscles. No, it was natural. Talk to him every day. Say that you have it and spend time with him. That he likes.

I can not take up thoroughly on all prayer secrets here, but I want to encourage you with one thing: God wants you to pray. He calls this several times in the Bible.

In chapter 21 and verse 22, Jesus says this in the Gospel of Matthew:

"Whatever you ask in prayer you shall have, as you think."

Jesus says, then here you can get answers to prayer about anything you ask for!

You can pray to Jesus, but Jesus also encourages to pray directly to the Father in Jesus' name. As promised the answer to prayer! Such a promise, Jesus says in John chapter 16 and verse 23:

"On that day you will not ask me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you: Whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you. "

Do not forget to thank God that he has saved you. Give thanks for what Jesus has done for you. That he died and was resurrected. That he is alive today and that he has forgiven all your sins. Then it becomes

this is real for you and your faith becomes stronger.

When should you ask? The answer you get the Bible in First Thessalonians chapter 5 and verse 17:

"Pray incessantly."

The fourth stage

Baptized!

In Acts chapter 2 and verse 38 Peter responds people what they would do:

"Peter replied, 'Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven. And ye shall receive the Holy Spirit as a gift. ' "

Everyone would then repent, and all were baptized. God's Word says you should let yourself be baptized. When you do this, you have also a promise: to provide you with the Holy Spirit as gift! In Bible times included the salvation of these three things: repentance, baptism and the Holy Spirit as a gift.

You should let yourself be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. You baptize thee not in any church name, but it is in the name of Jesus. And you baptized nor to anything personal, but it's still in Jesus.

You are baptized by being completely immersed in water and then up again as the Bible says in Romans chapter 6 and verses 3-4:

"Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? So we are by baptism into death: buried with him, we too may live a new life, as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father. "

Baptism is a confession of the environment that you now belong to Jesus. You are baptized into Jesus Christ, to always belong to him! Baptism is a mark that you now have repented to God.

In Mark chapter 16 and verse 16, Jesus says:

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

The fifth stage

Be baptized in the Spirit!

Receive the Holy Spirit as gift! This step I have already touched on. You need power to live as a Christian and do what Jesus has commanded you. You will also need help in your daily walk with Jesus.

John chapter 14 and verses 16-17, Jesus says this:

"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you, the Spirit of truth, whom the world can not receive. For the world sees him nor knows him. You know him, because he remains with you and will be in you. "

Here it says that the world can not receive the comforter, but it allows you to believe in Jesus. The Holy Spirit is a gift that you accept by faith. In the same way you received Jesus!

Once you have received the Holy Spirit so you can start speaking in tongues as it says in Acts chapter 2 and verse 4:

"And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

All were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak all languages. Tongues says elsewhere in the Bible. E.g. in Acts the tenth chapter in verses 45 and 46:

"All the faithful Jews who came with Peter were astonished

that the Holy Spirit's gift was poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and praising God. "

In Acts chapter 1 and verse 8, Jesus says:

"But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and ye shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and unto the earth."

The sixth step

Testify of Jesus!

Tell others about your faith in Jesus Christ. Do not keep it to yourself. You have been saved, forgiven and have eternal life. Let others also experiencing the same thing.

In Acts chapter 4 and verse 20 says this amazing confession:

"We, for our part can not speak of what we have seen and heard."

To tell other people about Jesus is the best and most effective way to self-grow and become strong in their faith.

Then Saul, later named Paul, was saved, he immediately began to testify and tell them about Jesus. As a consequence of this, he got more power. You can read in Acts chapter 9 and verse 22:

"But Saul became more and more power, and the Jews who lived in Damascus, as he proved that Jesus is the Messiah."

Do not be ashamed of Jesus. When you stand for your beliefs, people will have respect for you. You have been fulfilled by Jesus.

"For what the heart is full of, the mouth speaks."

This Jesus says in Luke sixth chapter in verse 45. If it is something that we are in-enthusiasts of such football, so we have no problem talking about it with our friends. We do not in any way make the effort. It just flows in. Now, of course, Jesus transformed our lives. Should not we tell about him to other people?

The seventh step

Hold on to Jesus!

Whatever happens: Hold on to Jesus! Do not let anything get you to leave him. He is the best thing that has happened to you!

Will you stick with Jesus until the very end, you will get Li vets crown in Heaven! This Jesus says in Revelation 3 and verse 11:

"I will soon. Hold what you have, so that no one will take your crown. "

All these seven steps are just the beginning. This is where it happens:

- walk with Jesus has begun!
